While inconvenient without their office space, I am confident that NBC, NPR, NYT, & Politico will continue to hold Pentagon officials accountable - but their replacements have limited reach and some are more interested in propping up Trump’s narrative than fact finding. (3/4).

The role of the Department of Defense is to deter war and protect the security of the United States, and that needs to be their focus instead of staging a revenge tour against devoted DOD personnel who put country ahead of Trump and the news outlets that reported on it. (4/4).

Like many, I am concerned by the Trump Administration's cuts to federal programs that millions of Massachusetts residents rely on.

Throughout the day my office has heard from CHCs concerned about making payroll, healthcare providers who lost access to their reimbursement system, municipalities awaiting reimbursements, and individual constituents worried about losing their SNAP or other direct assistance.

When campaigning, President Trump promised to upend our government. In under a week, we are seeing that promise is not just creating chaos but cruelly targeting all Americans from coast to coast regardless of party affiliation.

Today’s announcement of a long overdue ceasefire and hostage deal with Israel and Hamas marks a major turning point in what has been a nightmare for many families, including Americans, and the people of the region.

While remaining hopeful, as a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees, I will be watching closely as this complicated deal moves forward into the implementation phase.

I strongly urge the incoming Trump administration to see this deal through and encourage all the actors in the region to adhere to its commitments.
