Bravo Zulu to our own @USCG Maritime Safety and Security Team - Seattle and K-9 Niki who was recently selected as the winner of the Hero Dog Award. She is a vital part in keeping the public and our waterways safe in Puget Sound and elsewhere throughout the United States!
A @USCGPacificNW security dog that protects our ferries is getting national recognition. K-9 Niki is the winner of the Military Dog category of the 2024 American Humane Hero Dog Awards. Her career includes 100s of high-stakes operations, vehicle sweeps & demonstrations.

King Tides return to the coast this weekend! Avoid the surf zone, stay off jetties or logs, and always have an escape route...Sneaker waves can quickly sweep you off your feet and create a dangerous situation. Stay safe!
There is a moderate risk for sneaker waves along the Oregon coast and south Washington coast from Friday, Jan. 10th through Sunday, Jan. 12th. Beachgoers should stay alert, avoid the surf zone and never turn your back to the ocean!

(2/2) Clallam County requested the #USCG air crew. After the Dolphin helicopter crew safely hoisted the man, they landed on a nearby logging road and quickly transferred the man to a waiting @LifeFlightNtwrk helicopter. The man was then flown to @harborviewmc. @PenDailyNews
