لأول مرة في #لبنان، أراض متضررة بسبب المقالع أصبحت الآن حديقة عامة نابضة بالحياة! بفضل جهود #وزارة_البيئة، والتمويل السخي من مرفق البيئة العالمية @theGEF، عمل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي #UNDP على إعادة تأهيل هذه الأراضي المتدهورة. الطبيعة قابلة للتعافي وإعادة الإحياء!

أطلق اليوم برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي مجموعة العمل للشؤون #الإنتخابية بمشاركة جمعيات غير حكومية ومنظمات دولية لتعزيز #الحوار والتخطيط الاستراتيجي تبعاً للرزنامة الإنتخابية والإستحقاقات #الدستورية القادمة. بالشراكة مع الاتحاد الأوروبي في لبنان والمنظمة الدولية للفرانكوفونية، يستمرّ برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي بتوفير منصة لتعزيز التعاون بين المجتمع المدني والهيئات الانتخابية والمجتمع الدولي.

Businesses and livelihood activities have been heavily affected by the war. To understand the impact, UNDP digitally surveyed over 8,000 business activities across Lebanon, supported by the Crisis Bureau's Assessments & Digital Solutions Team.

To strengthen transparency and enhance local governance practices, @UNDP, with funding from the German Government through #KfW Development Bank, is organizing training sessions on the Public Procurement Law and effective procurement planning, in partnership with Basil Fuleihan Institute of Finance and Economics. This year’s training kicked off with the municipalities of coastal Metn, including Sin El Fil, Dekweneh, Jdeideh Baouchrieh Al Sadd, Chiyah, Bourj Hammoud, and Jadra, and will be conducted consecutively in different regions across #Lebanon. @German_Coop - @KfW_FZ_Int - @Germanembbeirut

هذا ليس خيالًا علميًا - إنه واقعنا المحتمل. إذا لم نتصرف الآن بشأن تغير المناخ، فقد يواجه لبنان تحولات مدمرة بحلول عام 2050. قبل ثماني سنوات، أنتج برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي هذا الفيديو محذراً من مستقبل لبنان المناخي. واليوم، يتكشف الواقع أمام أعيننا مع درجات حرارة قياسية في شهر كانون الثاني. ولمواجهة ذلك، يدعم برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي الحكومة اللبنانية ووزارة البيئة @nasseryassin في إعداد وتمويل وتنفيذ أجندتها المناخية للتقليل من آثار ارتفاع درجات الحرارة على لبنان. مستقبلنا يعتمد على العمل المشترك العاجل.
This isn't science fiction - it's our potential reality. If we don't act now on climate change, Lebanon could face devastating transformations by 2050. Eight years ago, UNDP created this video warning about Lebanon's climate future. Today, reality is unfolding before our eyes with record-breaking January temperatures. In response, UNDP has been supporting the Government of Lebanon and the Ministry of Environment @nasseryassin in preparing, funding and implementing its climate agenda to minimize the impacts of increasing temperatures on Lebanon. Our future depends on urgent, collective action today.
