EOS undergrads enrolled in Structural Geology (GLY 441) recently used a sandbox to create a fold-and-thrust belt, similar to the Himalaya, Alps, and Appalachians. Strata are composed of coffee grounds and different colored sand. The course is taught by Prof Peter Haproff
