In They Call You Back (2024), the second installment, is Hernandez’s memoir based on his search. Hernandez continues his search for the plane crash victims while also turning the lens on himself and his ancestral past.

Students of this year’s class performed their production at the Hanes Art Center on December 3rd. Congratulations to this year’s cast for another successful production!

Authors to be studied include James Joyce, Colm Toibin, Jamie O’Neill, and Katherine O’Donnell. The class will meet 4 days per week, sometimes in the classroom and sometimes in the surrounding area, visiting inspiring places and cultural hubs.

Attending these events is one great way to participate in UNC’s MLK Jr. week. We look forward to receiving valuable insights on ways that we, as members of the university, play a pivotal role in upholding equity and justice.
