The Cubs advanced to the CHSL semifinal, beating Catholic Central 65-55 earlier today. Leroy Blyden and Xavier Johnson paced the Cubs with 21 and 20 points, respectively. The Cubs will play the winner of the DeLaSalle/Toledo Central Catholic game Tuesday at 5:30pm at Marian HS.

The 2024-25 Cubs have not been beaten in their first 17 contests, and captured the CHSL Central Division Title after defeating CC 73-67. Leroy Blyden with a game-high 24. Xavier Johnson and David Herron III with 19 apiece. Warren Lincoln on Tuesday before CHSL Playoffs.

The Cubs win a thriller over a strong Huron team, coming back from a double digit deficit in the final 4 minutes to win 79-78. Xavier Johnson with a game-high 27 (incl the game winner with :04 left), followed by Leroy Blyden with 24 and David Herron with 16.

Cub senior, Leroy Blyden, Jr., needed two points to surpass the 1,000 point threshold in his U of D Jesuit career. He topped that mark in the first quarter on tonight’s game. He now stands at 1,025 points after tonight’s 27-point performance.
