I found my girl on a random chance encounter online at a time in our lives where we were both able to entertain an online, long-distance relationship. That was about 5 and a half years ago and I’m so lucky that we both wanted to put in effort and make it work
90% of it is luck and I wish more people would be honest about it. You didn’t do anything special to meet your person. You don’t “earn” another human. Happy for you, but you got lucky and felt they were worth putting in the skill and work in maintaining the relationship.
