Several callers were concerned for your safety today due to the poor visibility and heavy fog. We simply wanted to check on your welfare and offer assistance so that you could arrive at your destination safely.
With permission from his dad SC Culshaw had to have words with an underage driver in Peel today. He got away with a fixed penalty but dad was no where to be seen when payment was due.

Officers just dealt with 999 call from a 6 yr old in the South of the Island. Mum accidentally locked herself in bathroom. 6 year old was very calm and brave, while waiting for officers to arrive, and looking after his baby brother. IOM is fantastic!

A big thank you to all our followers in relation to the post about two persons on closed roads at the Creg Ny Baa. As a result of your help two individuals have been arrested and will be dealt with.

Please take note of all signs and advice
as no chances are given.
Officers just been to a job near HQ. Male drove off in his own van. This woke a drunk stranger who was asleep in the back. This startled the driver who called us. Matter sorted but lessons learnt. Lock your vehicles and don't sleep in other peoples vans.

One under arrest for flying the drone over Sulby Bridge. The officers climbed through a river and barbed wire fencing to make the arrest. It would have been nice to have some aerial footage of it. But y'know there are no drones allowed...

7 minutes after the roads were made one way on Friday this happened. The rider amazingly only suffered minor injuries. He was fined £120 with 3 penalty points for riding without due care and attention. The video taker pulled in and reported it to

at the Bungalow.
Very busy night & challenging at times. Some funny moments though. Ask
@laxeyblogger
about the 3 wet visitors who couldn’t use the McDonalds drive thru on foot. Stuck then in the back of our car and acted like two vehicles. Got their food and gave them a lift to nearby campsite!
So this just happened. Tesco had a few spare chocolate eggs and had them dropped at HQ for staff working this weekend. Thanks Tesco much appreciated.

3 things are certain in life. Death, taxes and TE Brown getting a no waiting cone on his head. Could we give him a weekend off! On a serious note we had several drink related arrests last night. Don’t let a fun night turn into a stay in the cells.
#IOMPolice
When we get through this, let’s never take this beautiful place for granted ever again. A few tough weeks hopefully but on the other side let’s look after this special place and each other just a little bit more!

Proud to be living on such a great Island whose residents are all listening and caring about each other. Not a soul about. Strangest and slightly creepy foot patrol ever but also very reassuring.
Just to share a good news story and to prove the Islands community are still honest, this bracelet worth £7500 was handed in and returned to it's owner today.
We would like to thank the person who dumped a load of rubbish at Axnfell Plantation for leaving us some evidence in the pile that will identify them. Expect a visit today!
Our glens and plantations are not the place for dumping rubbish.
Fines are not cheap at £5000!!!
People may have seen a private helicopter 🚁 flying down south. This helicopter is getting used to fly urgent medical equipment to the Island from the UK. It is not being used for personal reasons.

During a wander around the quiet and empty streets of Port Erin last night I found that someone had taped these to the outside of shop windows. It is quite simple 🥰👮♀️👍
Popping out to buy or sell illegal drugs is an unnecessary trip. So if you get caught it's a Covid offence and a drugs offence. And yes we have dealt with some for this.
We are starting to get a growing number of reports in relation to people failing to self isolate. This selfish/irresponsible behaviour ties up officers chasing the reports up. This hampers our ability to deal with other issues and puts lives at risk.
The 16 year old male who was arrested at Tescos is now serving 28 days in custody after receiving fines for provoking behaviour and criminal damage. He also received a 6 month ASBO with very strict conditions. We will protect our key workers.
#IOMPolice
We are getting reports of mums not getting spoilt. This is an offence under the Mother’s Day Act 1988. Have a great day and remember your mum or you’ll have us to deal with!
#MothersDay
An Officer went in to get cakes for their hard working team. While they got cash a member of the public had already paid for them! Thanks you are a star!

We were sent this.
1. This is true, we look after our prisoners as per PPP (PACE).
2. We need to wash our vans more!
3. There’s some funny people about! 😀

If you are out and about on our lovely Isle you may see our regular summer visitors. Basking sharks were seen In Port Erin today. Don’t worry they don’t bite but they are huge!
Latest Court updates re Covid breaches. A male who persistently failed to stay in as required - 4 weeks in jail. A male who went round to a friends for a drink (also another non Covid offence) - 4 weeks in jail.

PD Harley showing the right and wrong way to wear a mask, bless him!
On a serious note more information on masks and face covering can be found here:-

We just got a message from a key health worker who is having to stay away from home due to a sick child watching people in their area going from house to house for drinks. This is a serious situation and those people are simply ridiculous at best and killing people at worst.
This is Harley the police drug detection dog. Harley is having an extra portion of biscuits today. He found cocaine and ketamine in a vehicle search last night when he and his handler were called out. Good boy Harley, keep up the good work!

As sure as the sun going down over Peel and coming up over Douglas the next day, we will get through this. Keep doing the right thing and we will get there sooner. Have a nice weekend and stay safe.

It’s a tough job but someone has got to do it! Southern Officers taking five minutes down time to enjoy the sun on this sunny Sunday. Have a good day folks....don’t forget that sun cream!

Today we’ll be taking on the role of the Easter bunny delivering 120 chocolate eggs to the Island’s schools for the children who will be in school over the Easter period.
A massive thank you to IsleofPlay & Tesco for the donation of the eggs!

An iPhone and a firework were arrested on New Year's Eve. One was charged and the other was let off….
Whilst we seriously work on improving our jokes for 2024, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and Happy New Year from The Isle of Man Constabulary 🇮🇲.
We want everyone to enjoy the racing and take photos however this photograph captured this morning in the area of the Waterworks at 10am 03/06/2019 is ridiculous as it’s on closed roads . Any person with information regarding the identity of the persons involved ring 631212.
The signs are clear. This motorist nearly went against the one way system. If you are visiting do not trust SatNav as it will not show the one way section.

Whilst the Mountain Road has been closed for emergency services to deal with an incident, 4 cyclists in two separate pairs have been stopped & arrested at the East Mountain Box for Contravening a Closed Road & Contravening the One Way System in place on the Mountain Road.
Things we have learned in lock down (or didn’t appreciate like we should).
Being kind is cool. Buy local. Key and essential workers are just that. Think before you cut your hair. Living on an Island is pretty sensible. Covid calories do count. The Island is a pretty place!
We are pleased to announce that the e-bike that was stolen from the Paddocks on Tuesday 31st May, was located today in rough ground adjacent to the Douglas Rugby Club and has now been returned to the owner.
We know people are worried but one of the best things we have is our Island community. Let’s all take care and look after each other by following sensible advice from reliable sources.
The children of

Ok so my hat is not regulation but it's cold on foot patrol checking all the shops are locked and safe. So many lovely messages on windows of shops apologising for shutting but wanting all to be safe. This is community.

Unfortunately the mountain wasn’t open that long following racing before this rider found out he didn’t know his limits… Please ride within your limits and ride to arrive.

We’ve just stopped this gaggle of potential statistics. They arrived on the Island over an hour ago, managed 28 mile before being stopped for speeding. Whilst the mountain maybe derestricted, we robustlty enforce the limited areas and fines will be issued.

The ’Swab Squad’ at the Grandstand has carried out more than 1,700 tests for coronavirus since the mobile unit launched on March 20. We take a look behind the scenes with registered nurse Amanda Phillips.
Out on patrol & spoke to a lovely old lady. She was walking on her way back from the shops. She was concerned about the amount of dog walkers who has not cleaned up the mess their dogs had made on the pavement. I said would mention it. Please consider others!

Officers are attending separate reports of spectators either on or crossing the TT Course on closed roads. This is totally unacceptable and incredibly dangerous. Officers are en-route to deal with these incidents.
