I think the simple solution is to have an option where ADA holders can stake to a DRep and make that DRep their SPO at the same time. The DRep SPO can set the rate they think they should get from the stake pool reward. 1. This proves that Stakers truly believed in their DRep. 2. It will address the work / time cost of the DRep. 3. All source of income will be voluntary 4. If DRep is not getting enough reward/pay, maybe, just maybe, they were not that good of a Drep to begin with and deserve exactly what they can garner only.
