A really nice thing about meeting book people is the passion that they show for their favourites. It makes me pick up books that I’ve overlooked or not heard of. It’s far more effective on me than advertising or promotion and I think that’s a very wholesome thing. #BookTwitter

I saw Ocean At The End of The Lane last night and just WOW the things they did with such a small stage, the soundtrack, the actors. It was just incredible. @neilhimself your story come to life was more than I could have ever have expected 💕

When I pick a book I look for something that will affect me deeply. If I’m going to spend time with it then I want to remember that time. I want to remember the point in my life, the place and the feelings with that book. That’s what makes reading special to me.

I’ve started filling my shelves. Currently I’m using books that were overflowing other shelves/stored elsewhere. These shelves are made from old floorboards, sanded and oiled.

I recently saw an author interview in which they said Science will outlive literature. I’m not so sure. Lit affects people. Emotionally. Then people affect people. It inspires. Literature is passed on through experience. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. #booktwitter
