I feel weird posting this but I am just excited. I bought my dream car. Tesla M3 Long Range. I had one pre-ordered many years ago before I quit my job to chase dreams, but had to cancel to save money. Chasing that passion led to TGD - which allowed me to effortlessly work
Got called a "crybaby" for asking creators to credit my new MetaGen tool if they use it to make content? People are weird man. If you spent 3 years creating something that makes people's lives easier, you'd want credit if they used it too
TGD had 4.6 million users over Warzone 1 according to Google analytics
100 million page views in one month back when Warzone was huge
Difficult to wrap your head around numbers like that
Tonight is the night, MetaGen is live. The culmination of 3 years of work and knowledge about COD, combined with math, engineering, and 4 months of work. I hope it meets expectations and helps the community
Nervous but excited, I think it is the best thing I've ever built
How can people not understand that the vaccine was not developed for omicron? Some people have literally no logical reasoning ability. Continue believing your echo chamber's Facebook posts, I will trust the scientific consensus of people who studied viruses their whole lives
Biggest reason I like Android > iPhone still is that my Twitter app icon is still Twitter and not X because icon pack
I'm not calling it X
I will never call it X
I was sent this clip. This meant a lot to hear on a shitty night of canceled flights
@JGODYT
so thank you. You are mostly right, I personally would walk away from the TGD work, but I would just hire people and become a manager if I had the money, I wouldn't abandon my TGD homies
At Vanguard release:
14k users / 100k page views daily on TGD
192k subs on Youtube
25k followers / 3.7M views on Twitch
56.3k followers on Twitter
2022 will be a pivotal year for me and for TGD as a company. Hope it is a good year, going to do everything I can to ensure that
Bought my dad a 3D printer for Christmas like 3 or 4 years ago and got him a solidworks subscription. It has turned into an obsession. He designs and 3D prints bird feeders for my mom. And a million other things haha.
Solid gift for retired engineer
Just casually tried to overturn the election last time, this time he may actually have the SCOTUS and and support to actually do it, so yes, please go vote and don't let this happen. Straight up saying the quiet part out loud now "we'll fix it, you won't have to vote again"
Trump: “Get out and vote just this time. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years it will be fixed. It'll be fine. You won't have to vote anymore...In four years you don't have to vote again. We'll have it fixed so good your not gonna have to vote.”
Golf is such an easy game for me when my driver is good and hoooly was it ever good today...
7200 yards, 75.2 course rating, 30 mph wind, course I've never played.. shot 38-33, one under
I never thought I'd be playing at this level again and it feels incredible 🥲
I think the combo of all the things that make aim feel bad on keyboard and mouse are just still too much for me. They’ve made so many positive changes to the game. But at the end of the day if shooting in a shooter is unfun and unsatisfying… :(
Full switch to controller maybe
I just want to uninstall WZ at this point, every time I play I feel like I'm worse than last time. Used to at least be good at Rebirth and now I just get dumpstered even there
All the zero recoil guns, plus everyone having advanced uavs, plus advanced uavs showing ghosted players, plus the map design where it is hard to see people and they can come at you from weird unexpected directions is absolutely tilting me off Warzone the last couple days
#1
goal for 2022 is to get to the point where I don't want to post as many sad man tweets lol. 2021 was rough, and still dealing with some of that but also a lot of huge Ws for my career
I have a plan. Main focus will be on the mental. You all are the best for all the support 📈
I'm working so hard to lose weight and gain muscle. I want to be in shape, be healthy, and feel good about myself so badly
Scale hasn't been changing much at all despite eating well, just hoping body comp is changing
Ignore the kitchen sink window pic, no mirror around lmao
Made it 28 times around the sun. Crazy, crazy year. Highest highs and lowest lows of my life, by far.
Have a lot of big things planned for this year, hopefully will accomplish some of them.
The website is my passion, not making youtube videos. Unfortunately it seems like no one is interested in advertising on the website, they all want video ads on YT. So we make almost nothing from the website and I can't justify spending my time programming instead of YT
Contemplating my next move being into the golf space... a mix of golf, data analysis, and maybe some Rick Shiels style youtube content but with more unique features than just tracers
I've put a lot of thought into it and I think I might be able to bring unique value to the space
Vanguard + Warzone, BF2042, premium features for the site, good ads for the site, 200k subs on YouTube (1m by 2023? Kind of a pipe dream but fun to think about) all coming very soon
We goin places
I've taken a huge break from social media over the last month-ish (twitter, YT, fb, insta, twitch) - it has made a difference on the mental. I have learned that it is mostly the doom scrolling that causes the problems - not the posting and interacting with people on those posts
Really rough day. But I did hit 187k subs on YT. Working my ass off to do something special, but life really just feels empty sometimes and today was one of those days
I'm going to take a second and be nice to myself for once. I struggle with this.
I'm killing it right now, tons of good things going on right now in different aspects of my life. TGD's success is unfathomable really to be where we are in a year.
It's actually super annoying to be at my skill level in Warzone. I'm way better than the vast majority of people, but not even close to good enough for tourneys, but I want to play in tourneys. But I will get frustrated by getting destroyed by 4 KD players
Depression is such a difficult thing to try to get treated. First, it's nearly impossible to even get a doctor's appointment less than a month away. Second, every medicine they want to try can take a long time to even take effect, and they always want to start on a low dose
You are all the best. There are a lot of good people out there. I didn't expect this kind of response at all
I'm going to try to get involved with more professional help, something has to change
Had a good time with my friend visiting the last two days. Driving an hour to get my vaccine finally tomorrow morning, picking up my new laptop, then I can get back to work.
Some days, we just absolutely kill it over here at TGD. Both
@IAmGamerGrille
and I today, apps updated, data tested, website updated, within like two hours of launch. We are so agile at this point code wise that we can adapt quickly
YouTube comments. "Wow a 2 minute 45 second ad is unacceptable man"
Yes it is very hard to click the timestamp to skip it. And yes TGD should be entirely free and be funded by nothing. Some people are so dense.
I have virtually everything going for me in my life and I still feel like shit physically and mentally almost all the time. It's so frustrating. I need to exercise daily but I just don't have the energy to get myself to do that
@charlieINTEL
Set impossible deadlines and expectations for your teams to force them to overwork themselves when they're salaried so you don't have to pay them extra but get more work done
While getting paid millions yourself
Executive 101 (:
I need to revamp my whole twitch channel and I have for a long time.
Need new emotes, sub badges, bit badges, alerts, scenes, trailer, panels. EVERYTHING. 😅
This was just crazy, I ran solo split like 90% of the match. Had 4 shots of vodka. Changed my mouse sens from 1.25 to 1.6 earlier the same day. Hadn't played in a week. First time ever playing with Jessie. The stars just aligned
Stressful triple kill - I feel like on MnK it is impossible to be super accurate up close, so you can't count on chest and up TTK. Which is why I love the Type 100, because it does insane damage wherever you shoot.
Frags inside were on purpose to hold off pushes
Going to start working out & stretching every morning. I’ve lost like 35 lbs, another 35 to go though, and I don’t want to lose all my strength during.
I’ve tried morning workouts 1729 other times in my life, but tweeting at least forces some external accountability
Day 1 done
Just purchased a couple 90 lbs adjustable dumbbells. Expensive but for me, anything to lower the barrier of effort to exercise is worth. Garage gym really coming together. Lost like 35-40 lbs in 2023. Going to lose another 30 in 2024 and try to get back on the gains as well
Definitely leveled up IRL over the last month or so. Getting fit, getting out and playing more sports, have gotten what feels like way better at programming and working with TGD, made the right decisions for TGD 2.0
Last thing is just figuring out how to sneak YT content in more
