Yea…it’s more about career politicians that leave with 10s of millions. Not people who coming into office with 100s of millions already from inheritance or building a business. I’ve always figured the reason why Congress is so old is because they can’t retire or the fraud will become public.

It’s because it’s hard to justify the cuts and pull back if you only are thinking about the present. The reality is we are doing it for the future and our children. It’s all optics. There is no reason to stop spending on the credit card if you are about to die in 2 weeks and have no immediate family.

Imagine what happens if we can 100% prove elected officials were using NGOs to launder money into personal bank accounts. That money will be taken back, but the outrage would look something like we see now. Also…executions wouldn’t be off the table.
