@MBousselot Iowa's fecal equivalent population (FEP) is 168 million, which means that the state produces as much fecal waste as that many people. This is due to Iowa's large livestock population, including pigs, cattle, turkeys, and chickens. Big Ag has ruined Iowa, now they want MN.

@MBousselot Iowa ranks nationally #1 hog production; #2 cancer incidence; #30 water quality. Serious problems due to corporate agriculture!

@MBousselot Congratulations, you have helped to raise awareness regarding the serious problems in Iowa and MN due to corporate agriculture. My recently released book, “Dodge County, Inc.: Big Ag and the Undoing of Rural America,” provides insight regarding the impact of factory farms.

This eye-opening piece reflects efforts by Farm Bureau to quash efforts to conduct water monitoring by university officials in Iowa. Dangerously high nitrates in the water — 10 times the safety threshold.

LSP, thanks for the brilliant review of my book, “Dodge County, Incorporated: Big Ag and the Undoing of Rural America.” The corporate “takeover of communities like hers was no accident.”

See this powerful review of “Dodge County, Incorporated.” Eayrs’ work “will likely be viewed in the future as a seminal work in documenting the causes and effects of corporation farming on life in rural America.” ⁦@BisonBooksUNP
