Flew to Dortmund regionals last minute so I could play the superior and optimized broken terapagos. Lost win and in to cut because I prized BOTH PIDGEOT AND COLRESS in the last round leaving me with no way to find energy. My luck is actually just not real 💀

PSA: having played both, is much better, easier, and less buggy in every way compared to ptcgsim. I'm only mentioning this because I've noticed a shocking amount of people just don't know that this site exists (to be fair, it is pretty recent).
As we near the start of Pokémon TCG rotation in the West, I took it upon myself to find the simplest and smoothest way to practice new format games online with friends in real time.

Top 4 at San Antonio regionals! Good run with good luck until semi finals. The charizard list was actually optimal and broken. Bummer to lose to azul again, but he was the one who pushed for zard and this list. Glad I talked him out of radiant tsareena though

Top 8 at milwaukee! Lost a completely crazy unhinged set to azul in 60 card mirror. We both threw g1 but I threw worse and then I prized heavy plus cram to whiff attack game 2. Another good run cut short though 😫 the pic is an 8 because I always lose in top8 🤡

Made top 4 at Indianapolis Regionals! Had a good run, I got obscenely lucky (and never punished) during this tournament, and then got smashed by Dialga in top4 which I think is a bad matchup. Not sure if the deck is good but i yoinked the cracked list from

Bubbled to get 10th at the regional. Sad to be one win short of top8 at both regionals. Deck is really stupid but it’s broken so yeah. Losses were mew mew arc intel which are all favorable, I just got ridiculously unlucky. The deck is luck based though so wins/losses are luck

It really is just broken. Dusknoir does too much for charizard. Walks your dog, does your taxes, takes your kids to school, etc. If I had to lock a deck in for worlds right now it would be zard

I love seeing innovations that make me think “this is obviously the right way to play the deck” yet nobody has done it before. Clean list with good inclusions. No boss is definitely troll, and raikou would probably be good as well, but you can’t fit everything. Defiance is 🔥🤯🤯

10-4-1 for 34th at Portland. Very frustrating to piss away an 8-1 start. I hit insanely good matchups but bricked almost every game in day 2. 6 fire energy is terrible, should be 7 fire 1 rod. Otherwise list is good. Switch is the best switching card by far

The prize card mechanic is the worst mechanic in anything ever. It would be extremely easy to fix in one of many possible ways, and doing so would improve the game by orders of magnitude. Yes I’m lazy and don’t like prize checking, but that doesn’t make me wrong

10-2-3 at Peoria Regionals. I unfortunately bubbled out of top16, and had two bad ties in 100% win situations. And as usual, one win away from top8. Regi is very fun and has good matchups, the third gigas is for lost city mew

The best ways to get better at the game (without spending money) is probably
1) playing as many online mickeys as you can and RECORDING and reviewing all of your games. You should have a reason for every play you make (and don’t make)

Barely made day 2 at ocic. I think I played well (usually a few mistakes w/ lost box) besides throwing the irrelevant last round. I had some atrocious luck throughout the tournament which was frustrating (typical excuse), but at least the 60 won the event because azul is a god

Went 9-1-5 for top64 at EUIC with giratina. I think I played well but had some bad luck in the beginning of day 2. Felt somewhat close to making top8, if I had won my last two. Unfortunately tied round 14 and then ID’d 15 to guarantee cash. Giratina is ok

This is the list I played at Brazil international. The other guys played a beast energy over the basic energy. I think the basic energy is needed, but the beast is also very good. Igor and jimmy both had win and ins for top8 so deck is ok. Cut Acros for beast energy and surge

Played giratina to both post rotation major events. Made day 2 at both but no crazy runs. Deck is alright - the best thing about it is that it slaps around charizard in a way other decks just can’t. No auto loss matchups and lots of skill expression. Here’s the guide:

Top 8 Doll list. Bad flabebe is bad, didn’t get punished. Knew about the good one but didn’t have access to them. Gardeon is always very unfavored vs abilityzard regardless of techs. Dolls is very good against anything that can’t put cards into the lost zone.

When I first saw turbo hands, I didn’t think much, just like everyone else apparently. However this deck proved to be much better than expected and it’s very easy to play, so it’s going to be quite a threat. Also, prime catcher is by far the superior ace spec
