January was WAY colder than norm, it was also relatively dry. Cold tends to lead to dry, in winter at least. Snow numbers for Cleveland this season are still about 16" below the average through early February. Wildly, Mansfield is 20" shy but Akron is only 4" below the norm.

Give it a couple hours and the ice should be melted. In the meantime, be safe! We're colder tomorrow but MUCH drier.

1 degree here or there is incredibly important... Snow, sleet, freezing rain dna pliain ol' rain all likely from 10p until 7a. It'll be icy in spots, just wet in others.

38º this AM?! Mhmm... 32º this afternoon though with a few snow showers around midday. Wind chills in the teens... Don't expect it to be this nice all day!

Love it... been watching this swind sock at Fairport Harbor all morning... waiting for it to shift. Wind has been blowing out to the lake all night, just shifted to blow off the lake. That means the cold is settling in... BRIEFLY!

Super sunny and warmer but also windy. Gusting near 30mph this afternoon and up to 40mph this evening. Much less wind tonight but also much cooler as snow makes a return for Tuesday morning.

As of 3am... I'm tracking a little lake effect snow this morning. Winds are shifting and this should shut down around sunrise. Roads could still be a bit slick. We got about a trace to 2" in most spots. Temps will continue to drop also. Chills approaching 0º again!

Coldest morning in NE OH since 2018 and coldest Jan 22md in Mansfield since 1936! New record in the books...

As of 4am we already broke Mansfield's record low for Jan 22nd... Still have a few degrees to drop to test CLE and Akrons's records though. Records or not... it's COLD!

Not totally out of the norm for Alaska to be WARMER than Cleveland but it's pretty rare to be COLDER in Dallas!

Forecast hasn't changed but the NWS has upgraded the advisory to an "Extreme Cold Warning" for Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Wind chills will drop as low as 30º BELOW zero in parts of NE OH! CLE wind chills will be closer to -20º!

Brutal cold... and it'll be even COLDER tonight into early Wednesday. Prep your pipes, pets and CARS. Make sure you have extra water, snacks and blankets in your cars in case you have car trouble.

1 degree here or there can mean a totally different alert... I've been pushing impacts as this cold air has been heading our way. These numbers will range from -15º to -25º the next couple night. Don't get caught up on the words, pay attention to the impacts.
