yeah I find that Deep Research continually surfaces things just like I would if I was working on it. It fleshes out ambiguity and makes cool leaps in assumptions. Operator is slow and stumbles over tasks that you have to log in for and is mega slow for search tasks so it's kind of useless

Ironic thing with using AI automation and also hiring is that the most painful stuff that needs to be done still lands on your own plate because it's the most ambiguous and hardest to delegate. Maybe how CEO's feel

@petergyang echo all the other replies. Operator is meh, Deep Research is amazing. Use deep research for literally anything you want to know about: candidates for a job, competitive research, industry trends, medical issues etc.

This is why I find UBI etc. silly. Humans will never cease to have problems - the problems just march up Maslow's hierarchy. Once AI solves all our current problems we'll then have new problems on and on into eternity.

So even if AI becomes very good at writing code, it won't change starting a startup that dramatically. Understanding users' needs will still be the core of starting a startup. And the best way to understand users' needs will still be to have them yourself.

Best articulation of how to do a good job when you work for someone: “quiet the part of their mind that had to think about what you do” H/t to @TranscendMikey

what's wild about Deep Research is I don't think I've had it suggest something dumb to me yet. I almost prefer it for any problem solving type question even if I don't need it to research the web
