Have fun having no muscle and barely being able to function and having a harder time weight as muscle literally burns more calories and allows you to eat more without getting too fat and also being strong in day to day life

This is what I'm scared of. Truth is that properly dieting and exercising is best for long term goals, building mean muscle even let's you eat more and burn more. Body recomp kicks in so your journey will be a bit faster too. I'm just lazy

They aren't because a literal day isn't going to erase progress. You literally burn calories by just existing, about 1000+ on average. You also aren't 100% sedentary so you're burning more. Even if someone did eat A LOT you need to eat 3500 to gain a pound.
