@Colin_d_m Austin is working on light rail along an alignment that has a lot more density. This runs well south of downtown through an area with a bunch of warehouses for the most part. It doesn't really connect anything together, and won't for the foreseeable future

swanky new bus shelters on the Eastside at 7th street! the soon the launch Rapid 800 will serve these upgraded stops and is currently out on the streets being tested

This purple line project in DC has the potential to be transformational as far as getting around the area goes. It's not perfect, but it's a BIG step in the right direction.
