Yuri gets less marketing, has to deal with societies hate of women, the yuri titles picked up are mostly the same kind of soft high school yuri and then when a not soft high school yuri is picked up it isn't marketed to the new audience of adult queer women but the same niche.
I heard on the publishing grapevine that yuri light novels and manga sell poorly in English with only a few notable exceptions. BL, for some reason, doesn't have the same problem - there is a small core audience out there reliably buying even the nichest titles.
