I think those are just zones he reduces his risk for a position going against him. Reducing size in a losing position with stop orders is actually a real thing in futures trading. In CFDs, you’ll have to manually reduce your lot size for a losing position. For people that take partials, they tend to also not want to take full losses so they’d take partial losses based on their rules if a trade is going against them.
