Today was a very special day at Towers Infants - our first whole school assembly since March 2020. Hearing the children say “Good afternoon” in unison made our spines tingle! Back to normality at last.

Year 6 have had a wonderful start to Stubbers 2023! Some of us are watching the West Ham final and some of us are playing rounders or having a games evening in the sun! We are having an amazing time so far!

Year 6 parents just to let you know we all arrived safe and sound. The afternoon and evening have been spent have playing games and having a delicious dinner. Now some are watching ‘the match’ others are enjoying camp life. We will tweet pictures as soon as Wi-Fi allows. 😊

Look who took over our school hall today…Little City! The Hummingbird children fully immersed themselves into their very own ‘grown up’ world taking on different roles. They each demonstrated all of our core values throughout and were very excited to discuss their favourite job.

We came together at 11:00 as a whole school to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. Each class were represented by their members of school parliament who laid their class poppy wreath next to our soldier.

Towers Year 6 Girls Football Team came runners up out of 40 schools in Havering. They won their Semi-Final 4-1 & narrowly lost the Final 1-0. In the whole competition they played 9 games, winning 7, drawing 1 and losing 1. They scored 17 goals & conceded 2 goals. Very proud!

On Friday, Towers Junior Choir performed at The Queen’s Theatre for the Havering Music Festival! They put on an amazing show thanks to their hard-work, dedication and commitment! Well done, you really were fantastic ambassadors for the school, we are so proud of you all! 🤩🎤🎵🎶

Mrs Hurley & Mrs Lloyd were bursting with pride today as we celebrated our Junior Core Value Assembly. Children were nominated for always showing our BUILD core values. A huge congratulations to all the winners and well done to everyone who was nominated by their class teacher.

We want to say a huge congratulations to Freya in 6D who was selected to compete at the ESSA (English Schools Swimming Association) 67th National Diving Championships on Sunday! London region came second out of 8 regions. We are so proud of Freya and this fantastic achievement.

The Hummingbirds have had the best morning! We arrived to Nursery to find that one of our butterflies had pushed their way out of their chrysalis and we even got to watch our second butterfly emerge from the chrysalis and stretch it’s wings. We are so excited! 🦋
