Winning my first major tournament and it being the biggest one so far in Snap's history has left me with plenty of emotions. Certainly had an awesome weekend - S/Os to meeting so many amazing people!

I was hoping that the MMR reset would do something, but I guess my MMR is so high that even after losing a few 4 or 8 cube games against bots, I still don't get knocked out of bot MMR.
Day 1 Infinite, 66 games, just 3 human games (and they were against the same dude 3x in a row)

I've settled on my preferred build of the Standard Thanos Lockjaw after days of running this deck through the ladder. Caiera is so good for the deck that we can drop the KM+Death stuff, and Skaar opens new alternate playlines in a useful way.

Top 3 with the "villain" deck. I've seen claims this meta is one of the worst because nonmeta struggles against Go-Tall decks, like the Shuri meta before. Many claim Silk Move was the best meta, which was smaller.
Is it inevitable the game is worse when efficient stats is meta?

Pro Series, felt like actually grinding ladder for a bit with ol' reliable, now with Elsa and Alioth. The deck has 2 flex slots here IMO - MMM and Cosmo.
Climbed from Rank 170 -> 95 in just 2 hours, gaining ~140 SP.

Finished the Infinite climb today with an old favorite of mine - High Evo Moon Girl. Strangely, I entered Infinite at a higher SP than where I finished last season (9006 SP). Seeing the same names again on the LB, guess this means everyone's SP wasn't reset at all this season?

Got Infinite already done. Took me 88 games, 72.7% WR, 2.28 CR, and a bot rate of 64.7%(!!). While it's probably not that much of an accomplishment given the matchmaking, I'm kinda glad to get my first Day 1 Infinite on my Snap CV.

Even with Fogwell's Gym, it took me 6-7 hours for me to hit the Booster cap. Went from Rank 178 -> 205 during that session. IDK how people play so much that they hit the limit regularly man.

Remember how Shadow King used to a be 3/3 and had to get a further -1 cost buff to see play? A 1 cost nerf is MASSIVE and there are costs to adding 3/3 MMM to your deck now. For example, I'm not sure Thanos has space for Mobius given how 3 costs are awkward with the Ramp plans.

Nerfing Elsa while she's still buyable for $10 is a wild move I didn't think SD had the balls to make. I hope setting the precedent of nerfing active BP cards doesn't hurt SD later in the long-term, as it's probably bad business practice in mobile games to nerf current offers.

Impressions:
- Deck has a great matchup spread. Good into Bounce.
- Weak to Negative and MODOK Discard.
- Quite a few bots still; I don't see changes until global MM.

Pet peeve of mine: people goading the devs into making more perma S5s. IMO the community has an unhealthy obsession with the "Big Bad" title - people were MAD that Knull wasn't permaed, and I felt that Kang made a perma S5 by the community.

I haven't farmed very many Infinity Tickets for myself this season, so getting a Infinity Conquest win first try allows me to continue the streak of at least one completion per season. Mobius definitely helped for one of Loki's "bad" matchups, HE Wave.

Funny how the ranking system is basically the same game of grinding net cubes but instead of grinding to Rank 1000 we grind to Rank 1, and it's somehow more motivating. Psychology is weird man.

Today is Ms Marvel day! My thoughts on:
The card: Solid body that gives some decks more power. Might be worse than Tier 1 decks like Loki so Lockdown fit makes sense.
The movie: Short, fun, sweet; intriguing future plot hooks too. Felt like a Phase 1 film. Kamala is a joy here.

Battle Mode tip from a tournament pro: there are situations where it's mathematically correct to snap 100% of the time.
Example, if you are up 4-3 in High Stakes, you MUST snap T1 because there's no difference in taking 2 or 3 damage and you put your opponent all-in.

Thoughts on first Leagues implementation. Generally, I think Snap's community is much less receptive to standard mobile predatory practices than other communities in this space, so it'll be interesting to see how Leagues is received, especially in the wake of Nexus Events.

Conquest Mode is out - here's how much you need to grind. Assume each run starts at the given tier and goes on until you lose. Playing exclusively at higher tiers also increases medal gain rates massively. Good luck!

As much as the added diversity was cool, I personally didn't enjoy the event mostly because the Snap UI doesn't support tribes so it falls on you to memorize a list of 60+ cards to properly play around the buffs.

Well I did it - after falling short of making the money losing at the QFs of the last event, I did a bit better finishing 2nd in the latest Battle Arena. Happy with B2B Top Cuts even without the Gold I guess. GGs to

for securing their qualification! From asking around, both finalists from this event said they faced very little HE and Bounce - seems like people prefer bringing comfort decks over meta.
