I had a very witty bio written, unfortunately it would take far beyond the 160 character limit of twitter Bios to fully express. Thus, know that I am but a man.

That's a frequent outcome when one finally sees through the false prophet. They assume the Bible is just as fake as the BoM. If someone stays a Mormon, much of their energy and devotion gets run into the ground chasing an 'exaltation' they can never have. If they leave, they often end up like this woman, for the reasons already stated. But hold out hope, God's not done with her yet.

@TheGermanicist @MikeWingerii 2nd Peter Chapter 2 warns that false prophets will ensnare those just beginning to escape from error, and they will do so with boastful words. Can you think of a bigger boast than 'I'll teach you how to be God?'

Yes, the Holy Spirit does give revelation. However, things are more stringent than 'I think God told me this and it feels good so I'm going with it.' 1st John Chapter 4 teaches us to test the Spirits by their confession of Christ. The LDS Christ is of a different nature than the Biblical Christ, so you should consider this warning carefully. Jeremiah 17:9 teaches us that our heart is deceitful, so we cannot rely on our emotional response as a sign of truth. The greatest commandment tells you to love God with your mind, as well as your heart and soul- so again, just going on your heart is unscriptural. Finally, we are told multiple times to check scripture- (Paul called the Bereans noble in Acts 17 for doing so, but that is hardly the only place.) There are numerous places where LDS theology is at sharp odds with the Bible, and LDS simply dismiss it, saying that Joseph Smith got to change the rules because it's a new 'dispensation.' So yes, God will give revelation through the Holy Spirit, and yes I have gotten revelation. But such things must be tested to ensure they are genuine, and LDS folks are never taught how to do this.

Double the syllables. Not gonna work. Plus, if you're going to say 'God ordered this.' you'll need to get past all those false prophet warnings in 2nd Peter Chapter 2 and elsewhere. You can't just believe any supernatural message you get. The Bible teaches us how to test the spirits and prophets.

@sweatystartup The physical design is 100% centered around utility, not looks. Word I've heard, albeit only indirectly on twitter, is that it is marvelous at it's function, and greatly appreciated by postal workers.

@TeeplesCY Donating Qurans suggests the LDS org doesn't think truth matters, or that truth is relative. I appreciate you highlighting that. I will say it is a good thing that the LDS organization has stepped up humanitarian spending in the last year or two.

One thing I think is funny about Mormons / LDS- they think the Trinity can't be true because it's complicated, confusing and they can't wrap their heads around it. These same people cannot fully explain how their hand functions, from the subatomic particles, to the atoms, to the molecules, to the DNA, to what occurs inside their cells, or how these cells join together to form muscles, ligaments, bone, tendons, blood vessels, nerves, skin, fingernails and so on. They don't know why, from start to finish, their hand obeys them when they tell it to move. With great studying they might be able to catch up with the best current worldly understanding on a few of these things, but they would find there are more depths still to search. Yet they insist they must perfectly understand the one who designed and made it all, and there can be no mystery beyond their ability to understand!

@seacoastonline How about administrative staff? Maybe there's some fat there that can be trimmed. Let's look beyond the teachers.
