Yields & jobs numbers matter to me too but for someone worried about market reaction, the Feds words are driving markets Since JP dropped the biggest financial nuke known to man during covid, it's all Fed jawboning that's moving the markets This actually goes back to 2008, Bernake and the QE, TARP, etc crap If 2% is arbitrary they need to ditch it and tells why The Fed is lost and almost always wrong

CPI is forecast tomorrow to come in 'inline' at 2.9% That's nearly 50% above the Feds own target rate What is your acceptable rate? We're now back above the highest CPI we saw under Trump the 1st The Fed should NOT have cut rates at all and if inflation stays up here or goes up more they MUST hike IMO

Notice anything with CPI in the past 4 months? It isn't the Fed's job to prop up the stock or housing markets The Fed has 2 mandates: Price stability (inflation) Full employment Average Americans can't afford a house and most don't even have 2 months of savings let alone invested in the stock market The Fed is failing at the job and needs to act
