The crew of Lancaster bomber JB453 OL-F, subject of my book, The Bomber and the Weathervane. Took off from RAF Wyton in the last few minutes of January 2nd 1944 before being shot down on the return from Berlin in the early hours of 3rd with all souls lost. Always remembered.

My late Dad wrote his memoirs towards the 1990s documenting, from memory, his life from growing up in poverty in The Midlands, to service in WWI then co-owning his own company, plus everything that went on in between. I am proud to be able to publish this amazing social history.

Following the publication of "The Bomber and the Weathervane", I am attending 2 events in Germany in Sept which Helen Theron and I have organised, one at the graveside of the JB453 crew in Berlin,the other at the crash site in Timmenrode, where a memorial plaque will be unveiled.
