Just somewhere I share and talk about what I'm drinking, and where I'm drinking it. Also, I occasionally pull pints at The Forest Brewery Taproom

I can't believe it slipped my mind that I've been working here at @BreweryForest for over 2 years now! There's been some big changes in that time, we've got a whole new bar, a new outside seating area, and have started getting local food trucks in for events! Onwards and upwards!

I'm polishing up a few of the leftover Christmas beers. This is Robinsons Brewery's example, their 4.3% Santa's Reinbeer. A warming malty festive amber ale. Not a bad beer at all, much nicer than some of the other shop bought Christmas beers

Quick Thursday night visit to the wonderful Doghouse Micropub in Coleford with @TomDrinking . My choice was Nike by Milton Brewery, a 4.7% ruby ale. Lovely beer, lovely little pub!

The final beer from the box of German beers. This is Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier. Not a bad beer, but much as the rest of the box, fairly un-unique. It's a little sweet, crisp, and malty, coming in at 6.3% it's the strongest from the box. Good head on it though!

What a cracking beer from The Forest Brewery! This is Red Right Hand, a 6.2% Belgian red. Boozy and rich with deep malty flavours and a touch of caramel. Made using yeast from Westmalle, so felt right to use this glass

Recently had this absolutely delicious hazelnut stout in The Doghouse in Coleford. This is Hazelnutcracker by Tiny Rebel. Smooth and creamy, this 5.8% dark beer is reminiscent of Nutella, but not overly sweet. Extremely drinkable

Looking back to New Years Eve when I got to try Goffs Brewery's Black Knight, an 8% imperial stout. This utterly delicious beer was just phenomenal and easily one of the strongest cask beers I've ever encountered. Cheers to The Doghouse in Coleford for this one!

Another scrumptious vintage cider from Ross Cider. This is their 7.7% Brown Snout & Chisel Jersey 2019 - 2021. A marriage of two separate vintages, this delicious cider is a medium dry chocolate apple dream. Big oak aromas and deep complex flavours, this was stunning!

A quick trip to The Doghouse in Coleford for a pint of Verdant Sundialer, a 5% hazy pale. Quite drinkable, with some tropical hoppy notes. Definitely not one I thought I'd be enjoying in the early stages of February, but great nonetheless

Another stout from New Bristol Brewery! This collaboration with Bluntrock Brewery is a 6% Biscoff Iced Cinnamon Bun Stout. A real sweet hit of cinnamon, very dark and decadent, with a chewy biscuit aftertaste. Loads of icing sugar flavours throughout. A really cool beer!

@IWoosey @PJL_UK @brewery_b I'm actually heading to Bowleaze for a week at the end of March. I already have Dorset Brewing Co at Crossways on my radar, as well as Copper St Brewery in Dorchester. Any recommendations? Pubs, breweries, taprooms, and cider houses in the south Dorset area?

@IWoosey @brewery_b It's a gorgeous venue ran by a couple of stalwart old school tenants. Things don't change much down here, and even when they do, it's very slowly!!
