@seanwburges Oh sure that wasn’t my point though. It’s that the private sector in Aus is pathologically uninterested in spending on innovation & R&D, whether with unis or themselves. Better to just dig stuff out of the ground. This is borne out in R&D stats & technological complexity metrics
