I definitely think that from Alre's perspective, she is doing everything with 'good' intentions (preparing them for the world, making them stronger, etc) but like. I wish there was more blatant challenge to that from someone else. Maybe some self reflection from one of the kids.

A lot of Fontaine is actually really corrupt when you take a closer look at it.
Did you know that Chevreuse’s dad-in spite of being tried, persecuted, and JAILED for a crime he straight up ACTUALLY committed-he was still allowed back on the force afterwards? Crazy shit honestly
my least favorite part about the fontaine aq is how the fortress is written as a really egregious form of a privatized prison that works outside of the federal scope and profits entirely off of the labor of the incarcerated. and then theyre like "and thats okay <3" girl what...

Was researching French Mythology for DSE purposes, I found out Melusines are from actual mermaid-like ladies that sometimes have wings or two tails. The Starbucks logo is actually based on a traditional Melusine.

I don't really mention it explicitly in DSE but Furina 100% feels devestated over what happened to Freminet and feels as if she failed him. It's her responsibility to prevent the prophecy. To her, he is a grim reminder of what will happen to everyone if she doesn't succeed.
