UPON REVIEW, it has come to my attention that I made an INCORRECT CALL— Erlich the Warlock (Hank) should only have been able to cast 2 3rd spells in a single day. I allowed him to retcon his Hellish Rebuke and then cast Fireball, which means his second Fireball was illegal (1/3)

My team has reviewed the game and determined that, while the extra Fireball certainly helped Erlich, Hank also NEVER used his invisible imp Lola, leaving an average of 10-15 damage per round on the table (ignoring the extra damage vs a paralyzed Norm). (2/3)

Fallout was amazing, but Scavengers Reign was my favorite thing this year. Annihilation meets The Martian meets Midnight Gospel. I can’t recommend it enough. Let’s just say the visuals, tone, mood, pacing, and themes are all designed to work with specific states of mind 🍄🤯🧬
I am BEGGING you all to watch this. One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen and the only way it gets a season 2 is if people tune in on Netflix. HBO already cancelled it once, but it’s getting a new life on Netflix. I promise you won’t regret watching it.

I have run a bunch of groups to level 20 now. It’s just as much fun, but gameplay generally takes a lot longer because there’s so many potential factors in play. One group spent a year (2020 in fact) at level 20 exploring a single multi-part epic dungeon (a fallen Netherese city)

Couldn’t agree more. BG3 is the best D&D video game ever made and it’s not close. As a professional GM with over 15,000 hours in 5e alone I’m still taking notes on plot presentation, encounter building, and any number of other GM techniques. For a new GM, it must be overwhelming.
Nono, it's NOT simulating D&D. It's delivering on the PROMISE of D&D in a way no earthly DM could.

Tbh we’re well past the “is it moral” argument— it’s good for the hobby, period. I’ve found long-term players don’t tend to need a professional, but for new players it’s literally all the difference considering how difficult TTRPGs are to learn from just a rulebook.

Even discounting houserules, it’s literally not possible for two different tables to follow the same RAW. A dragon at one table isn’t the same as an identically-statted dragon at another table. Interpretation of rules begins at the 0 second mark, GMing is mostly mood and vibes.
