Please give this important review a read! We found that the majority of evidence being used to justify plasmapheresis for the removal of "microclots" is at high risk of bias. The term "microclots" itself is inaccurate, and these particles are found in healthy controls too.
Is #plasmapheresis an effective treatment to remove amyloid fibrin(ogen) particles in #post-COVID-19 condition (PCC)? @Cochrane_IDG Review shows no evidence that the particles contribute to causing PCC and no justification for #plasmapheresis treatment
