@RussCote Nobody gives a rat’s ass what you did 50 yrs ago. You probably weren’t even alive to see those games.🤣 And you’re not a blueblood. You’re in the second tier, w/ UGA, LSU, UF, Miami, Tenn, and CLEMSON. 🤡 Everything is always about What have u done for me lately.

@RussCote Let’s do some more. Since 2010, Clemson's had 80 players drafted to PSU's 72 ..... and 18 1st rounders to PSU's 7. Meanwhile, you’ve beaten Ohio State just 1 time in the past 13 meetings… while Clemson is 3-1 during that span.

@RussCote Agreed Lotta ppl though would group Clemson in that 2nd tier w/ PSU (and UGA, Tenn, LSU, UF, Miami). I mean, Clem experienced a dynasty run that even OSU, UM, UT, and OK haven’t, nor PSU, UGA, UF, TENN, and LSU. It was like Carroll’s USC, but Pete didn’t have Saban to compete w/

@RussCote That’s fine. But who cares about Blue Blood? What does that matter at the end of the day? It’s mostly just a superficial bragging point used by fans of Blue Blood schools. It does nothing for a person’s actual life. It’s “blue blood” vs “where will I be the happiest”.

@RussCote I’ll sum it up for you in terms that hopefully your butthurt brain will understand. Brent Venables was the best DC in college FB. He could’ve coached ANYWHERE… but he stayed at Clemson for 10 YRS. That’s virtually unprecedented as a coordinator. Nuff said

@RussCote Rex Ryan f’ing LOVES IT HERE. Put his kids in school here too. So did Herbstreit. Lots of other players’ kids have gone here as well. Having the chance to coach w/ Dabo in this type of family environment that puts u RIGHT AT HOME is a dream for many coaches- see Allen leaving PSU

@RussCote Well let me clarify. Who was the best coach not named Saban? It was Dabo. Guess you’re forgetting that right. He could’ve gone ANYWHERE, but he wanted to stay at Clemson. Venables WANTED to be here as well. Moved his family here. Put his kids in school here.

@RussCote @Southpaw2019 @RealCGriff also a higher potential to be part of a program that prides itself on placing as much emphasis on developing these kids as men off the field as they do on it. No other program in the country does it like a Clemson in that regard. It’s why parents LOVE & TRUST sending kids there

@RussCote @Southpaw2019 @RealCGriff There’s a reason why Urban Meyer, upon his visit to Clemson (as a broadcaster after retiring), said on-air “Now I get why I lost so many top Florida kids to this place”.

@RussCote @Southpaw2019 @RealCGriff Higher potential to be closer to his family. Higher potential to be with a HC who matches him better. Higher potential to be in a special family-feel type program & atmosphere that’s regarded as the best in the country on that front and that other programs try to copy.

@RussCote @Southpaw2019 @RealCGriff Gotta love silly blanket statements like these that lack any sort of substance or merit. Go cry in the closet or something. You realize Clemson previously had the best DC in the country right? Allen is fantastic, but he’s probably still not Venables’ level fantastic.

@RussCote @RealCGriff Your inflated sense of ego is laughable. Stop riding the coattails of your team from the 80’s.🤣

@RussCote Let’s go a step further. How many times over the past 15 yrs has PSU finished UNRANKED? 8 PSU’s 6 best rankings since 1980: 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 3 … and u needed every bit of those 45 yrs to get those six. Now, Clemson’s best 6 of the past 10 yrs: 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3 🤔
