@ElementasSeries I do it differently: With a smile - "Let's give it a try." I hybridized my format to play out structurally like a screenplay because I have to distinguish clearly what's acting cues and what's inner monologue, seeing as in my setting, dialogue and inner monologue interact.

@StephenMConway @whataimeereads_ The core trilogy was my grief counselling, yup. Next up on the fixer-upper of my character is to teach myself how to forgive. Everyone took turns shitting on this guy for most of his life, over his strength and willingness to help. He struggles with bitterness like I do.

@whataimeereads_ What's wrong is that you are building a good story. People have taken storytelling into a soulless exercise and it's collapsing its credibility. People who write with strong feelings are the ones to bring it back to its rightful place as a medium which speaks to humanity.

@StephenMConway @whataimeereads_ I have a few of those throughout the trilogy. The worst of them all is the one that strikes me personally. I don't know why I interrupted the final battle in Calamity Breach to put that in, but thematically it makes a lot of sense. I sneaked in a lot of goodbyes in my books.

@whataimeereads_ Yup, happened to me. I let my affections become clear through Ben. That's one of the reasons why I decided early on that I wasn't going to do a "will they, won't they" relationship with those two. Felicity is a wonderful person and I wish I had met someone like her.

@Dragonslay3r94 Getting pretty sick of this argument. Games have rating systems to protect kids; games with propaganda in them are not purchased by judicious customers in this medium (which is a majority that causes real damage to these productions when these lack authenticity). It's done.

@HMNolanbooks I mean we live in a completely managerial society. You can't do anything without being checked by "authoritative things" everywhere. We've all been treated like toddlers for a while now. That's why no bold things are being made by the majority. It's pathetic.

@HMNolanbooks @JanMiklas01 You're going after the one flap of the butterfly's wings. Read Oswald Spengler and you'll understand why the world goes to shit, punctually. His analysis is great. To me, the world went to shit when they messed with the videogames. As one man once said:
