The Reds fell 1-0 in the Provincial final in Windsor. What a weekend from a group of talented men who squeezed every inch of effort out of themselves to garnish a 6-2 record, and second place finish out of 21 teams. ⚾️

We showed well once again this weekend with a top 5 finish, although terribly short staffed and injured all season long. The talent level is extraordinary but the camaraderie is even better.

The Reds win the pennant!
With a 5-2 home win Wednesday the Reds win the 2023 GTBL pennant and 1st seed overall in the playoff tournament.
The Reds are looking to repeat as champs, which has only happened three times in GTBL history with the last being 2013/14 Reds titles.

The Reds front office strikes again, as another ex Toronto Met and current NYU freshman Tyler Offman will play for Thornhill in 2020. At 6’4/240, the hometown power bat will bring some much needed pop to the Reds lineup. More to come as the Reds GM is grinding away.

The Thornhill Reds are saddened by the loss of Steve “Whitey” Breitner after a courageous battle with cancer. Senior baseball lost an ambassador and a true legend today. RIP, and condolences to the Breitner and Rangers family.

The Reds say goodbye to Josh Appel in 2020, as the RHP has been hired by the Vancouver Canadians as a video coordinator. Over 4 fine seasons he fired 241 innings, striking out 189 and walking 102. He finishes with a 22-9 record including a 10-2 rookie year. Good luck in BC Josh!

We’ve re-signed our GM and field manager, Nolan Revin for the 2024 season. Details of the agreement were scarce if not secret. The Reds skipper is entering his 12th season at the helm, leading Thornhill to three league pennants, six(!!) GTBL titles and the 2019 Provincial final.

After two excellent seasons with the boys, the Reds will say goodbye to OF Dan Apostoli in 2020. His huge walk off hit against Sarnia on Monday at Elims will never be forgotten, as well as the tight shirts and nutrition focused mid-game, home packed meals.

Another young arm joining the Reds staff in 2024 is OBJ grad Philip Arturi. Knee surgery kept him home for a gap year, but the young righty is set to attend Waterloo in the fall. Expect him to challenge for innings as his work ethic getting ready has been excellent.
