Which tax?
In the UK:
Income Tax: 20-50%
National insurance: 13%
Corporation tax: 19-25%
VAT:20%
Council tax: ~£1500 p/a
Road tax: ~£130 p/a
Fuel tax: 53p per litre
Capital gains tax: 10%
There are more but these are the most common.
Around 60-70% of earnings are lost to tax.
