New paper out! We study the low-frequency spectral index of a sample of cluster radio halos. We find that ~64% shows an ultra-steep spectrum, a great confirmation of turbulent models! With @fradega, @HambObs, @and_botteon, @hen_edler, @max_gasp et al.

By far the most devastating proposal of my (short) career, as the photo clearly shows

#paperday An ultra-steep halo, a relic, a phoenix and gentle re-acceleration in A1550: just a "small" preview of what LOFAR LBA+HBA can do. Much more to be coming soon ;) With @HambObs @hen_edler @and_botteon @fabiogasta @max_gasp @fradega and many more

Check out this beautiful work led by @marisa_brienza! A combination of radio and X-ray observations of NGC 507 revealed the interaction between gas sloshing and remnant plasma
The NGC 507 galaxy group, by @marisa_brienza (with @AnnalisBonafede. @fabiogasta, @franco_vazza, @ThomasPasini94, @cjriseley, myself++) @LOFAR, uGMRT and @ESA_XMM data suggest the presence of complex remnant radio plasma transported by gas sloshing
