The United States is a republic, and in 2024 the news cycle and discourse on X was very heavily political. It was an election year so that makes sense. in November we cast our votes, and the election has essentially been resolved but in X the discourse and news cycle is STILL heavily political. All the notable people and thier followers want to foam at the mouth and micromanage every little thing that happens like as if the US was a direct democracy. (again it's a republic). This is annoying, boring and frankly isn't helping anything. I'm not saying we should ignore the government for the next 4 years, or never say anything, but maybe we should be a little more selective about what we get loud and angry about. We cast our vote, we made out stance clear, now let's focus on our own lives and let the people we elected do their jobs, and discuss weather they did a good job or not during the next election year. Having said all that, I personally am going to focus less on politics with my X account, and try to talk more about video games and other hobbies I enjoy.

@Megatron_ron What do you expect to happen when the US government leaves billions of dollars of equipment behind in Afghanistan?

Look man, you can't have a functional society without laws, prohibiting murder for example, or theft, laws that clearly define what counts as theft and what counts as justifiable self defense. We need law and order. The founding fathers did with good reason make it hard to codify bills into law. If bad laws are getting thrugh that process the answer isn't to ad another step to the process that will fuck everything up and similarly be abused, the answer is to hold the people who passed bad laws accountable and get them out of the position of making laws in the first place.

@PyramidWatcher @Neon__Midnights @mandyarthur @beinlibertarian You are suggesting adding another step to creating laws, because if your ideas was imposed literally every law would be challenged immediately. It would be lunacy.

@rhodesiian @PatriotMahdi88 @SilverARTicfox I think it's insulting to the brave officers who tragically lost their lives on J6 to even compare the horrible events of that day to something as small at the holocaust or 9/11. Even if you are pretty correct on your math.

@bakedandblitzed @6ShubNiggurath6 @Pirat_Nation I believe it's mentioned briefly In the hooks and is implied to be very advanced magic, like the kind of thing wizards like Dumbledore can do with ease but most others struggle with.
