@SpatialTechnol1 @BuckCllr @CmPooley1972 @lewis_goodall Actually in 2010 was 1.39Tn with an annual budget deficit of 149bn. That is equivilant to 2.09 tn and 190bn in 2024 accounting for inflation. The budget deficit in 2024 was 129bn so arguably much lower than inherited. do a good analysis and debunking

@CmPooley1972 @SpatialTechnol1 @BuckCllr @lewis_goodall The note is a red herring brought up by others. The figures are determined from the graph. What everyone ignores when casting blame is that in every instance there is external factors outside Gov control causing deficit growth. 1990 Gulf war, 1992 ERM, 2008 Banking, 2020 COVID

@amir18931 @BuckCllr @lewis_goodall It is very basic maths. If you have a debt and committed outgoings greater than your income, that you cannot pay "cos there is no money", then year on year your debt will increase until you get spending down enough to allow you to start paying off the debt.

@SpatialTechnol1 @BuckCllr @CmPooley1972 @lewis_goodall In 2010 the deficit left by labour bailing out the banks was 10%/annum and as the note left by Byrne stated there was no money left to pay for it. So compound 10%pa year on year 2010-15, when Torys have decrease spending enough to pay the debt and stop it increasing.

@SpatialTechnol1 @BuckCllr @CmPooley1972 @lewis_goodall Correct, however that saddled the UK with a 11% of GDP annual deficit that took 5 years for the Tories to get under control. It is not Tory policy that caused that debt, but @lewis_goodall is lamely blaming them for this which is totally wrong to do! Tory Policy rescued it.

@lewis_goodall You are blaming Tories for the problem, but it actually stems right back to Labour Party in 2008. Brown saddled the UK with 11% growth in annual debt. It took 5 years to curtail that annual debt growth, but that was effectively labour debt. The Tory debt is 2020 on mainly Covid

Last month we were delighted to be offered a private tour of the White Peak Distillery and to get to meet Max and his team. I have finally managed to put pen to paper (metaphorically speaking) and recorded our visit in a blog. @whitepeakwhisky #whisky

@thenim9 Totally agree! How much is a small 30ltr cask worth? Totally nuts. Also really bad that they have deemed that commercial casks are not separated. We own it just the same as private owners! Annoyingly we have a cask bottled up and on a pallet waiting to be shipped!

@WeebUnionWar Lol @weebunionwar @Suriyakmaps is as neutral as you are.... ie pro Russian! When are you going to cut the Bullsh1t and just admit your bias. It will only do you positively as most pro Ukrainians just laugh at you rather than listening knowing you have admitted your bias.
