“Renewables could supply 4/5s of the world’s electricity by 2050, massively cutting carbon emissions & mitigating climate change. But solar & wind power have to be fully integrated, with sustainable bioenergy providing another key part of the mix.”

“Around two-thirds of global GHG emissions can be attributed to the supply and use of energy from fossil fuels. These emissions must be reduced substantially, while at the same time ensuring sufficient energy is available for continued economic growth.”

“Nationally, low-income households’ energy burden is 8.6%.” This means that 8.6% of low-income households’ annual income is spent on energy costs. Let’s get rid of high costs in electricity by going solar! #CommunitySolar #GreenInvesting #Solar4Us #SolarEnergy

Urban Heat Islands are caused by increased temperatures in cities, caused in part by the sun being absorbed by asphalt & concrete. Solar panels installed on rooftops & parking lots absorb some of that sunlight & turn it into electricity. Go solar now! #CommunitySolar #Solar4Us

...This bill would exempt community solar projects reserving more than 50% of their power for LMI households. This exemption would hopefully serve as an incentive for more solar companies to develop community solar projects in and for underserved and overburdened communities.
