You don’t talk to victims of domestic assault like that. You may not have an officer available but you tell you your officers are busy, but you can keep her on the phone and enter the call for service for the next available officer. Anyone in law enforcement knows this.

That’s the way it worked while I worked in it. Any bordering counties for mutual aide assistance. Sounds like massive staffing problems, but also training, and mutual aide clarification needs to happen.
