How are these scrawny little kids taking over our government?! Why isn’t anyone fighting them? Show them boobs or something, idk.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, career employees who have worked for decades in the government have bristled at taking orders from the young newcomers. One coder has openly referred to federal workers as “dinosaurs.” Some staff members at the personnel office, in turn, derisively call the young men “Muskrats.”

@sensorystories_ Neurotypicals mask 24/7. They get hostile at us when they catch us not masking cause it makes them aware of their own mask, and they don’t like that. Then we have to be known as the “people who wear masks to fit in” just cause it makes them insecure when we don’t.

@sensorystories_ I bet that most (likely) autistic people who say they don’t stim or have special interests (me) who learn more about what counts as stimming and special interests, would realized these two things are so deeply ingrained in their daily routine they don’t even realize they do them.

@laurenancona Instead of hating on us and trying to gate keep autism they could be learning from us. We could be a team. We’re going to advocate for them way more than any allistics would. Some of the things other autistic people might have a hard time articulating, we could be translating.
