The first computer football game I created in 1973 while at Harvard, a big step toward Madden. Printed by a KSR-33 Teletype and written on a DEC PDP-11 to simulate the Super Bowl later won by Miami, 24-7, over Minnesota. My simulation game ended 23-6 in favor of Miami. Not bad!

I founded 3DO as my first daughter was born; now 30 years later my youngest just left for college. My career has been full, but nothing compares to the delight of growing up with my 4 kids or the love, respect and amazement I feel for them.

I LEFT MY HEART IN SF yesterday, but 1989 was worse. I was in Candlestick as the deadly Loma Prieta earthquake struck, with big chunks of concrete flying and game canceled; followed by a night of tragedy. SF got blanked in the Series, but my front row box seat was merely $49.50

🏅 2013, I gave a speech in Luxembourg and stayed at the U.S. Embassy. Ambassador Robert Mandell gave me this (a history nerd like me loves fancy medallions! My tour also included a tank trap, a hidden bunker and a sad reminder that the Nazis made this their World War II base.
