@benadrylmisuser It comes back, I promise. Your brain is all sorts of dopamine-deprived now. Once it gets back to balance (could take months - for me, it was 3 weeks), you'll be sharper and funnier than ever. There's a huge brain fog that gets lifted when we get sober.

@RacheLaneMartin When I first quit, my therapist told me "give into any craving that's not alcohol" - sugar was my go-to! Yes, Nerds were my favorite, followed closely by ice cream.

@Sober_lifestyl SO true! Alcohol is so engrained in media and advertising - we all are taught that the only output is a fun time and laughs. When someone decides they've had enough, others are so confused. Many times, it's because they know, deep down, they should stop too.

This is why my dog is my best friend. I have lots of great friends, but non-judgemental and unconditional loyalty is a gift.

@susanamendoza10 @united I mean, 5.1% state corp tax savings for them to move to CO is significant. I wouldn't blame them if they left - we have one of the (possibly THE) worst business environments nationally. $200M/yr savings in 2024 alone based on their $4B of earnings.

@InternetH0F I mean, plastics are made out of oil, so it's just reverse engineering (called pyrolysis). He's spending more energy creating the heat with no oxygen than the value created, though. Japan leads the way here, but plants failed. There's a ton of research into new methods though

@Angry_Staffer I was excited to see his performance. It sucked and was a 0/10. Boring music selection, dull dancers (did he just pick them from the audience?), and the audio mix could have been better with an 8th grade A/V student. It sounded like “mumble mumble yeah yeah. Mumble oh oh”. 👎👎
