Put another way, we need to retrain our “product thinking” muscle to account for what is now possible. From our experience, product engineering has become an iterative dance of pushing the technology to understand what is possible, building UX around that, mixing in new tech capabilities, rebuilding the UX around that, and so on.

I’ve spent the last 10 years of my career leading tech and product, focused on using tech to driving great user experiences to solve real problems for my customers. I set out to start a new company because advances with LLMs, combined with classical ML, means we can provide awesome new types of experiences that drive new value to users.

If you identify as a product engineer, you want to be working on AI-powered products at a startup ASAP. @austinnickpiel and I are building a product that could not have existed 2 years ago, and we've been learning about two areas: 1. Applied AI / ML 2. Product thinking with AI

I wonder how long it took to stop calling new companies "internet startups" or "cloud startups" or "mobile startups". Startups would be foolish to not leverage generative AI, the same way that it would be foolish to not use the cloud. AI will be an implementation detail soon.

Me: ChatGPT should have a number to text. It would feel more human-like. Girlfriend: There’s a text thread that has all the features you’re looking for.

For the last 10 years, the smartest people I know have been building software for enterprises. For the next 10 years, I think we'll see a shift to consumer. AI is valuable for businesses, but it has the potential to be transcendent for individuals.

An AI-powered jobs matchmaking service would be 10X more value to both candidates and companies compared to the status quo. Perhaps this value proposition finally provides an opportunity to supplant @LinkedIn 👀

The optimal use-case for AI would be to cut-out resume building, applications, and recruiting screens. A single system with candidates, companies, and job listings could use AI to understand both sides and play match-maker.
