For us, this is not a penalty. It’s a natural attempt to play the ball and the contact is minimal.

@DanGreen21 The Law is clear in this instance. It would be violent conduct if there was any form of contact beyond “negligible”. There was no obvious contact at all.

@Les_Maestro It should always be the Referee’s decision. In this instance though he advised correctly & succinctly. Unfortunately, he chose to ignore that advice.

For us, Nick was given every opportunity to rectify the situation with clear advice given. He was thrown a lifeline that should’ve placed a seed of doubt in his mind over this incident. His own mind was already made up - wrongly! He dug his own grave there for himself

Clear & obvious penalty for St.Mirren against St.Johnstone. Player clearly impedes the St.Mirren attacker and ball doesn’t deviate from its direction. Amazed VAR didn’t pick it up @sffpodcast @SJFCFANS what do you think?
