The San Diego Incident is just so underutilized
It is THE inflection point of the Jurassic universe. EVERYTHING that happens afterwards hinges on this event. It was the night the entire world witnessed a dinosaur roam the planet once again
Ngl it's so weird that back in 1997 a T-Rex got loose in San Diego and some people even died but nobody seems to talk about it.
Like we even have footage of it happening.
When it eventually hit the roads, it attacked cars in panic. This here is a photo of it gnawing on a 🧵
Speaking of Indoraptor, the latest and great
@mattel
Dino Trackers figure is an incredibly cool looking toy, ain’t it? The add-on harness + light up eyes are a menacing combo, and I can totally see Wu and Mills trying something like this with Indoraptor before

Can I just say that I am just so surreally impressed that the plot of
#JurassicWorldChaosTheory
is "Hey remember those kids from Camp Cretaceous? Well it's been a few years and now they're being systematically hunted down and murdered in their homes"
@Riamus01
I think this has something to do with people's intrinsic love of gorillas
Like how in the 1960 comics had to limit the amount of gorillas in their stories because they were just too popular
Who else noticed the “flaming hot” snack the Carno and Allosaurus shared in the background of this fight? 🦖🔥💀
It might be my favorite death in the film 🤣🤣🤣

In 1997 the entire world saw a living breathing dinosaur for the very first time — a male Tyrannosaurus rampaging through the streets of San Diego, California. The "Buck" was returned to Isla Sorna with its infant, and eventually relocated to BioSyn's Sanctuary in the Dolomites
Ever wondered what native fauna lived on Isla Nublar prior to the construction of Jurassic Park? Meet the Nublar Tufted Deer and the Collared Aracari, also known as "Moku-Pa" by the indigenous Tun-Si tribe
I've been watching a lot of
#JurassicWorldDominion
trailer reactions and one of my favorite things is seeing so many people, fans and general audiences, happily surprised to see a fully feathered dinosaur. It's what everyone wants!
Lately I've been thinking a lot about just how significant of an event the San Diego Incident must have been in the Jurassic universe. The whole world learns that dinosaurs are alive overnight in a disastrous way. Nothing would ever be the same after 1997. Thread:
Hatched on Site B in 1988, a lone female Tyrannosaur was transported to Isla Nublar for exhibition at Jurassic Park. She would lay claim to the island for the next three decades as the sole apex predator

You know I really don't understand why some Jurassic fans are resistant to the idea that the JP raptors are

that are classified as a species of

in-universe. They literally have to be considering we see two distinctly different "Velociraptor" skeletons
If you’ve seen a cast of a T.rex skull, there’s a really good chance it’s AMNH 5027. Other than Stan and Wankel, this is probably one of the most commonly casted rexes out there…

OK LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS
We've either dodged a bullet or are running straight into one
According to Outpost, the script was finished by Koepp quicker than anticipated and Uni was VERY impressed with it. Leitch was hired, not because of his action expertise- (1/4) 🧵🦕
The new ‘JURASSIC WORLD’ movie needs a director that “would essentially have been more of a shooter.”

Despite its unknown origins, this Parasaurolophus variant is primarily known to roam the Sierra Nevada. The Department of Fish and Wildlife protects these Sierran Parasaurolophus from poachers who wish to profit off selling their powdered bones on the black market
I see Bumpy and a cow (Bessie?) in the background
I'm willing to bet that Bumpy is living at Sammy's family ranch now, perhaps as some sort of road-side attraction. That's why we see dinosaur decorations with Sammy
Traveling this weekend? Look out for new roadside signs that can help you stay aware of local dinosaurs.

While its canonicity is contested, Pteranodon sternbergi, also known as Geosternbergia, features a beautiful leaf-shaped crest. It is believed to be the direct ancestor of the better known Pteranodon longiceps, a paleontological case of anagenesis
This stunning hadrosaur is known for its distinctive pompadour-like crest. Corythosaurus can be seen in mixed-species herds alongside Parasaurolophus on Isla Sorna. They have since been spotted in the black market and illegal breeding operations on the mainland
