Another tremendous performance for a preseason standout
@emondrek1 @iamDorian5 6'3 Tyler Byrd (@Tyler_Byrd0) Quick, Self-creating 2-guard. Extremely difficult for opposing guards to keep him away from the rim. Tremendously functional athlete (former WR). Versatile scoring package. High-level of comfort operating in small spaces out of the mid-range.

Important news for teams in need of an experienced, ready-to-play big — Bethea is a 28-year old, & has dominated around the rim in his first season of JUCO basketball after previously serving in the US Navy.
Good news, cleared from the NCAA clearing house. I’m officially eligible to play D1 and D2 next year. 🎉🍾

JUCO Freshman to Watch: 6'4 G/W Tristin Fleming (@TristinFlem_23) - Motlow State Explosive 3-level scorer. Tremendous HS career in Memphis and has quickly shown that his scoring skills will translate to the collegiate level. Scored 42 in Motlow's win last night over a very good Roane State team.

11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks on 5/5 shooting tonight for Paul in Eastern Kentucky’s win over Chicago State tonight.
6’7 F Yvens Paul had 51 dunks in 29 games played. He shot 69.6% from the field and had a 7.8% Blk rate. In my database going back to 2019-20, no JC big has matched these #’s & the closest to doing so was South Carolina’s Nick Pringle, who played a pivotal role in Alabama’s F4 run

Shotmaking combo-guard that I have ranked far ahead of consensus. Extremely excited to see him play for some of our subscribers @SCSUHuskies_MBB

@coachmscott_ This was prior to your all's signing of Jemel, then you signed Jemel and became a ranked class in my eyes. I hope that you understand my rationale in hindsight.

In his first game for Elon, simpkins posted 18 points, 5 rebounds & 3 assists & was a +8 in 22 minutes off the bench in a tough 14 point loss at North Carolina. Some people thought this was an over-evaluation…
Explanations: Elon: 1 commit; Tajuan Simpkins with 3 years to play is 3 years of an all-conference/conference player of the year caliber player. Tough, winner since HS. UAB: 1 commit; South Plains G Jaborri McGhee is a rare combination of strength and burst at the guard spot.

Terror Prep has consistently developed & prepared rim-running bigs at a high level for D1's over recent-years. Tokpah (@adam_tokpah) is next up from the Terror program & would be shocked if his recruitment didn't blow up very soon.

Opening Weekend JUCO Stock-Risers: Poet Davis (@PoetDavis) Started his JUCO run by doing what he did his entire HS career, shooting the cover off the ball. Averaged 29 Pts 48.6% shooting, 8/19 from deep, & got to the line 20 times in 2 games. Extremely exciting offensive profile.

Opening Weekend JUCO Stock-Risers: Amarco Doyle (@Amarco_32) Doyle has quickly adjusted from the NBL to NJCAA, averaging 18 & 11 on 59.3% FG & 40% 3. Tremendous physicality combined with high-feel. I have Doyle as a high mid-major eval, and expect schools to show they agree soon.
