Fact: Professor E. Gadd, creator of the Poltergust from the Luigi's Mansion series, is also responsible for the creation of FLUDD and the magic brush from Super Mario Sunshine. Both inventions appear to be products of Gadd Science, Incorporated and bear the company's logo.

Fact: In the Yoshi’s Island series, Kamek uses his magic to increase the sizes and alter the forms of the enemies faced by the Yoshis. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii and New Super Mario Bros. U, Kamek performs this same spell during certain boss battles.

Fact: According to Super Mario director and producer, Yoshiaki Koizumi, Toad’s mushroom cap is a part of his head, not a hat. This is further proven by Toads wearing other hats on top of their mushroom caps in various games, as well as a description in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

According to Donkey Konga 2, DK Island is located across the shore from a city. When Donkey Kong and friends visit the city later in the game, it is heavily implied to be the city that Donkey Kong (1981) took place in. This indicates DK Island is just south of the Metro Kingdom.

Fact: Bowser’s Minions is an army led by Bowser that often invades lands to claim them as territory for the Koopas. The army consists of a variety of both Koopa and non-Koopa species, and further expands its corps with each territory it attempts to conquer.

Fact: King Boo is the king of the Boos and one of Bowser’s minions. He’s much larger than other Boos, whom he holds dear. He periodically attempts to capture Mario and Luigi and plots to rule their world. After being defeated by Luigi several times they have become arch-enemies.

Fact: Bowser takes part in sporting events, such as Mario Golf and Mario Tennis tournaments, so he can defeat his arch-enemy Mario. Bowser designs his own courses and stadiums to this end. When he’s not invited, Bowser often attempts to gatecrash the events with his minions.
