7 points clear in the league In the LC Final 1st in the CL = “Toxic” 💀
@AnfieldRd96 Drop points to Everton and it’s going to get incredibly toxic. We’ve put even more pressure on that game now

Absolutely deserved that, Plymouth. As did Liverpool. The team selection was fine, people were concerned about the defence but it took till the last 10 minutes for us to create any chances at all. Thought Quansah and Elliott were really poor. Question marks over them this summer. Disappointed with McConnell. Jota, Nunez, Chiesa and Diaz played like an attack that had been told before the game they were for sale in the summer. Disappointing to go out but huge game on Wednesday to focus on. Probably 11 changes for that one, thankfully.

@AnfieldWatch Bit of a disjointed performance so far. Not too concerned as they’re not really hurting us on the counter but we’re not clicking in the final third and creating enough. Pressure will tell in the 2nd half.

Kelleher, Endo, Quansah, Tsimikas have played in Cup Finals & Champions League games for us. More than capable. Even with the defence being somewhat more vulnerable than normal, that’s attack HAS to outscore Plymouth. The bigger worry is midfield and we’re creating very little. Curtis & Nunez on 2nd half.

I really feel for Joe Gomez. A terrific defender that has been at the club longer than anyone. An unbelievable signing from @CAFCofficial When he’s fit, he’s an exceptional athlete and always reliable. Unfortunately, he’s had his injury issues for some time and his body has let him down again today. Hopefully it’s nothing major and he’s back in the team soon.

@AdamJoseph____ @markgoldbridge Maybe so. No horse in the race, but it sounded like he was trying to make light of the fact that Neville (allegedly) doesn’t particularly like him.

@andrewsikaja01 @itsmeeeeeeeea @chrxstian10 @WhoScored And now Salah has 34, what is your point? Are you suggesting Saka gets 20 G/A in those 7 games and overtakes Salah? 🤣 He was miles behind when he got injured, he’d be miles behind now.

@andrewsikaja01 @itsmeeeeeeeea @chrxstian10 @WhoScored Saka was miles behind Salah when he got injured. He’d have been miles behind now. Incidentally, Arsenal were 6 points behind Liverpool when he got injured, too. Just as they are now.

@andrewsikaja01 @itsmeeeeeeeea @chrxstian10 @WhoScored I’m not sure what your flex is here, man. 🤣 Trent is not our biggest creator, no. Salah is. Y’know the guy with the most assists in the league? That guy.

@andrewsikaja01 @itsmeeeeeeeea @chrxstian10 @WhoScored Not sure that a winger having created more chances than a full back is quite the pwnage you think it is, mate. 🤣

Nope, away at Leeds. Tore his hamstring and was out for 5 months. Never the same afterward. Absolutely agree. Conditioning and rotation so important Liverpool have had to use academy players to keep first teamers fresh, so it’s not even like Arteta could blame lack of £. Needs to trust more of the MLS & Nwaneri’s.

For some injuries, no. However, when you overplay the same players in a demanding system, you get muscle injuries. I remember Liverpool did it with Owen. Broke him. Similar with Saka, lots of high intensity sprints required. Look at Spurs, sometimes it’s luck, other times it’s poor planning and recklessness.

@Robbie9Fowler PFA Young POTY in 95 & 96. Still the ONLY player to have scored 30 plus goals in his first three full seasons in England (and did so mostly as a teenager!) Did his ACL in 97, missed the 98 World Cup. Never the same again. Was Shearer / R9 levels before his knee injury.

@dangoodson93 @SlogShow @the_bonerbandit @johncrossmirror @SeanDOlfc For years we had arguably a better first XI than City and City had the better squad. Liverpool absolutely do have the best squad in the league, assembled at half the cost of our rivals. Gomez, Jones, Kelleher, Bradley, Quansah, Elliott - £13m.

@the_bonerbandit @dangoodson93 @johncrossmirror @SeanDOlfc How is it possible for a team to “flop the quad” 😂 If you’re going far in all 4 tournaments simultaneously, even if you win none of them, by definition you must have a top squad. The outrageous shouts were thinking that this squad would simply fall apart without Klopp.

The reason for this is because prior, recent success is normally a prerequisite for such “in your face” celebrations. Or at the very least, they usually precede trophies and success 🏆. Neither is true in Arsenal’s case. That’s why Arsenal are the exception.

How is this lie allowed to be pushed? Arsenal have spent €945m in the same period that Liverpool have spent €548m. It’s not even close, it’s nearly double ffs 🤣
When Arteta joined we were the worst side out of the original 'Big Six'. Even though they've all outspent him in his tenure, they're nowhere near as good as us. And I’m supposed to believe he’s not the right man for the job? Not a chance. Arteta is him.

How is this a reasonable comparison? Tevez made his PL debut a DECADE after Cantona’s last game 🤣
Another level of football would be playing in the PL when Drogba, Hasselbaink, Henry, Wright, RvP, Ferdinand, Hughes, van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Cole, Tevez, Solskjaer, Cantona, Bergkamp, Zola, Shearer etc were the strikers, not Wood, Havertz, Hojlund, Wissa, Mateta & Jackson etc

@SeanDOlfc @OhBumboKlaat @IdeaForming Mic drop. Whole quality of the league has risen. West Ham, Man Utd and Spurs have been in European finals in the last 5/6 years, too. All in the bottom half.
