Ben Wallace was 2nd Team All-NBA and an All-Star that year - so he was elite. In the other 19 years, you really needed a Top 5 player - an amazing 2nd player - to win a 🏆 though.

@davidbmarkham @AaronJFentress Exactly David. I believe strongly Joe has a tendency to play it safe and overvalue assets. He saw Neil do it and make millions. His bosses seem ok with it. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure so a “good” deal is very subjective - often can’t be judged for many years.
