I was 23 years old. Just graduated from university. Played my last competitive volleyball game. Sports were a HUGE part of my identity. But it was over. And I wasn’t ready to let go. Nor was I ready to get a “real job”. I've been an entrepreneur from a young age. - Built a lawn care business that I sold - Ran volleyball camps that did $5k/week - Vegan soup business that I sold after 16mos I had the entrepreneurial bug. But didn’t have a clue what to do next. I was searching for answers And heard that travelling was a great way to find them. My travel experiences to date had all been sports-related (outside of building homes in Dominican Republic). So I picked up the phone and called my buddy. It took all of 30 seconds to convince him to join. We booked 1-way tickets to Brussels And ready to spend a few months in Europe. We were PUMPED! 2 weeks before our departure I get a text from my buddy: “Yo bro, I’ve got bad news…” “I can’t afford the trip.” FUCK! I had told everyone that I was going And the thought of traveling alone was uncomfortable. After a few days of long walks and reflection It became clear to me that I needed this trip. I wanted this trip. I was going on this trip. Even if it meant going alone. The big day had finally arrived. I was on my way to the airport when my phone rang It was the airline… They were calling to inform me that I could no longer fly to Brussels Because of the terrorist attack at the airport a day before. They were instead going to fly me to Paris And I’d be leaving at the same time. Great… I now had no plan. No place to stay. Knew nothing about Paris. Yet I’d be arriving there early in the morning and need to figure it out. I landed in Paris after a long night of travel. It was 7am. It was cold. I stank. I was tired. I was alone. And I still had nowhere to stay. Negative thoughts started creeping into my head. “Why the fuck am I here all alone?” “I should just book a flight and go home.” I felt lost. After a little self-talk I got my shit together. Got an Uber and went to a hostel. They had a bar in the lobby so I grabbed a breakfast beer And booked a flight to Greece (as I had only brought summer clothes). Seconds later… Some dude sits next to me and says “Hey Mate, beer for breakfast. I like your style!” We became quick friends and had a big day in Paris. We got back to the hostel around 2am Just in time to grab my bags and head to the airport. When I landed in Santorini I took a bus to a hostel. As I was walking from the bus stop I ran into a girl and said hello as our paths crossed. I proceeded to drop my bags off at the hostel And started my search for coffee (which I desperately needed by this point). I walked into the first coffee shop I found and who’s standing there? The girl I had crossed paths with just a few minutes earlier. We started chatting And next thing I knew I was island hopping in Greece with her. It was an incredible few weeks But the time came where we had to part ways. I then travelled to Belgium, France, Morrocco, Spain, Italy, Malta, and Croatia. And made fast friends everywhere I went. After a couple months, I started to meet up with friends I had met earlier in my trip. I met so many amazing people with incredible stories. The experience was SO rich and inspiring And to this day It is one of the most memorable and impactful periods in my life. And this all happened because I took a chance. When I was afraid I ran towards it. I had no clue what I was doing But believed I’d figure it out. And guess what It was far greater than anything I had imagined. It changed my life in so many ways. By the time I came home I still didn’t have clarity on what I was going to do But it didn’t matter anymore. Because of my trip and experience I was confident that I would figure it out. I realized that: > Fulfillment > Growth > Confidence Come from facing your fears. And that the richest experiences exist outside of your comfort zone. Those are lessons I’ve carried with me ever since. And they’ve allowed me to take on and overcome so many challenges in my life. So… Travel. Seek out adventure. Take chances. Fail. Learn. Love. And pursue your dreams. That’s what living is all about!

Don't work with bad clients. I learned this lesson the hard way early in my career. Good clients will: - Pay more - Demand more - Refer you more - Come back to you more By focusing on creating conditions that attract good clients... You'll scale your business faster.

Strategy can be an asset or a liability. Because it doesn't matter how fast you're going if you're heading in the wrong direction. Are you spending enough time on strategy?

Setting small goals will crush your fear of failure. I used to fear failure because it seemed so final and devastating. But when I started setting small daily goals... Failure stopped appearing like a catastrophe. Sure I fail more often but I can quickly course correct.

Ask great questions. Provocative answers will open the door to you being able to question your own assumptions. When you challenge your own assumptions... Invisible opportunities become visible.

I used to think selling was about telling. It wasn't until I focused on asking great questions and connecting that I had success. Capture hearts and minds. Help them reflect. Present the solution once your prospects have realized they need one.

Courses aren't just about learning. They are about gaining a new perspective. They help you see things in a new light... And that light will illuminate your path to exciting new opportunities.

Momentum is a powerful force for consistency and success. Small daily goals are crucial for building it... And will allow you to start small and build speed like a snowball rolling down a hill. Set daily goals. Execute them. Track results. And watch your momentum build.

I used to get this wrong. To do lists should be aligned with your goals/vision. Peak motivation is first thing in the morning. Once your to do list is aligned... Tackle the hardest thing first then move onto the next. Leave the mindless stuff for the PM

Big dreams? Don't let them paralyze you. Focus on doing 1 thing today... That will move you closer to those dreams. Do this every day for a while, and your dreams will soon become reality.

Motivation comes and goes(mostly goes). Discipline it the key. Don't rely on something that is fleeting.

Failure is inevitable when you live outside your comfort zone. The question is how will you respond?
